Transportation
If you are in need of transportation to a medical, mental health or social service appointment, we will coordinate rides in several ways. For trips to Boston, we will have a taxi drive you to meet the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority shuttle which travels to all the Boston medical centers.
If you need a local ride, these will be provided by volunteers, taxi or B bus. Contact your case manager to make arrangements for this service.
Emergency Assistance
The emergency assistance fund provides emergency and temporary assistance to persons with HIV/AIDS whose annual income is within 200% of the federal poverty guidelines and who are financially unable to meet their basic obligations for the necessities of life. This fund is to be used only as a last resort and is not for on-going support. Through payments made directly to the service provider, grants are made available to help with rent, utilities and other basic needs. To fill out an application for assistance, contact your case manager.
Voucher Programs
The Support Group has a limited amount of vouchers for acupuncture and child care. Acupuncture vouchers can only be obtained by providing a doctor's note that acupuncture is needed. Child care vouchers must be used for appointments to medical, mental health and social services.
Peer Support
This is a new program of the Support Group. Details will be coming soon!
