Night at the Chef's Table

Now in its 18th year, over 60 participating restaurants throughout the Cape will serve over 600 patron diners on June 5, 2008. On this special night, the Cape’s most acclaimed chefs simultaneously prepare an exquisite meal, from appetizer to dessert, for ASGCC dining parties. In 2008, the Night will stretch from Provincetown to Sandwich.

For a minimum donation of $75, diners will receive a memorable, multi-course meal complete with wine and desserts and a special gift bag which can include sponsor information.

This year’s honorary chef is Nick Malgieri.

Former Executive Pastry Chef at Windows on the World, Nick currently directs the baking program at the Institute of Culinary Education (formerly Peter Kump’s New York Cooking School) and frequently serves as a guest teacher at many cooking schools. He is the author of eight books including Perfect Cakes; Chocolate: From Simple Cookies to Extravagant Showstoppers, and Great Italian Desserts. He has won numerous awards including the IACP/Julia Child Cookbook Award, the James Beard Foundation Cookbook Award and the Best Chocolate Book in the World award by the 1998 Salon International du Livre Gourmand.

His television credits include Chef du Jour, Cook’s Choice, Bakers Dozen, and Cooking Live on the Food Network and appearances with Julia Child on Baking with Julia, as well as with Martha Stewart. He also appeared with Vincent Schiavelli in the PBS series The Chefs of Cucina Amore.
